PRESS RELEASE MAKE THAT A TABLE FOR SEVEN A GRIZZLY FAMILY STORY: FERBIE AND PEPPIE FIND A HOME ABOUT THE BOOK: Jacksonville, FL (MMD Newswire) January 29, 2010 -- Storm and Angie Davis had the amazing privilege of welcoming two young teenage children into our home, and becoming their guardians. The kids had been in and out of our home for a couple of years as friends of their 3 children. Storm was the boy's football coach as well. On a Christmas night, six years ago, Angie received a call. On the other end of the phone was one of the children. There was no longer a place for them with their family and they had nowhere to go. They called asking her, "Did you mean it when you said we could stay with you?" The response was, "Yes, you can stay as long as you like." Make That a Table for Seven is the story of the journey and transformation of the Davis family. It is set as a children's book with black bears and grizzly bears representing the characters. Ferbie and Peppie have been left alone in the woods without a family. Ferbie gathers his courage and knocks on the door of the Grizzly family. The door opens and a new family is born. It is a true story of rescue and redemption. It is a story that spans all emotions and ages.
ABOUT THE AUTHORS: Angie Davis is a wife, mom of five, and a substitute teacher for middle and high school students. Storm Davis, is a head baseball and assistant football coach at a local high school. They spent the first 15 years of their married lives as a professional baseball player's family having children, winning World Series, and living in different places around the United States. The second half of their married life has been spent being parents to some amazing children: Zach, Caleb, Erin, Justin and Stephanie. They love kids of all ages... even teenagers! "People just need to be loved!" was a favorite quote of my father. Growing up I thought it to be an over simplification of a complex problem. As an adult, I realize he put in just a few words the essence of why we exist." Angie Davis ANGIE AND STORM DAVIS ### |
