New play depicts woman's plan to uncover truth about her loved ones
All The Way to the Tigers, a play by Roger P. Myers, tells the story of an unforgettable evening where a family's secrets are revealed

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (MMD Newswire) February 10, 2010 -- All The Way to the Tigers by Roger P. Myers is a play about truth and its inevitable consequences, even in seemingly innocuous circumstances.

When wealthy and determined Corinne Johnson Hannibal plans to host a dinner and cocktail party, her brother Walter is immediately suspicious of her intentions. He notes that she has been acting strangely in recent weeks and wonders if she might have an ulterior motive. On the night of the party, Walter, his wife Irene and their 21-year-old son Donald gather with Corinne's attorney, Bill Lasser, and his wife Ina for cocktails before dinner. Corinne soon begins revealing things about each of them that shock the others. Corinne's vulgarity allows her to grasp onto each of guests until they finally decide to reveal truths of their own regardless of the consequences. In the end, the reason why Corinne has chosen this particular evening to reveal these truths, becomes apparent.

"This is a play about truth and one woman's way of dealing with it," Myers says. "When truths are revealed, it affects people. I think it is a well-constructed play that actors would love to get their teeth into."

The two-act play features six primary characters in a plot intended to portray psychological drama and suspense. Set in the living room of the Johnson home, the actors inhabit a single room as they converse, argue and ultimately reveal the deepest truths about themselves. All The Way to the Tigers is written to be a powerful and emotional drama and a combination of the styles of playwrights Edward Albee and Henrik Ibsen.

All The Way to the Tigers is available for sale online at Amazon.com and other channels.
