Losing three fingers was the prelude to her writing career... ...
(MMD Newswire) March 1, 2010 -- Building a Fortune 500 company from scratch was simple for Danny Potter. It only required hard work and brains. But discovering she has an identical twin sister and parents who are the cream of society is another matter. Raised in the mean streets of Chicago by her kidnapper's girlfriend, Danny doesn't do society or touchy-feely, but a killer is determined to eliminate both Danny and her sister and that's a language Danny understands. The assassin is in for a few nasty surprises from Danny's vast arsenal of unique weapons when they enter the playing field.

Austin McKean, a friend of the Townsend family, is suspicious of the newly discovered twin that his International Security firm stumbles upon by accident. Ex-military, Austin is all starch and vinegar and he couldn't have picked a more ill-suited woman to pique his interest if he'd tried. She has a murky past and enough secrets to rival Washington D.C. Intrigue swirls around them as they join forces to protect Danny and her sister while unveiling a mystery killer

From The Author

After spending several months creating Danny, I ended up with a woman who lives life on her own terms, along with Barkley, her one-eyed K-9 dropout companion. It's my opinion that every person who reads the book will wish they could drop all pretense of political correctness and become Danny, if only for a day. While writing Mirror Images, I found myself anticipating what hornets' nest Danny will stir up next and I think anyone reading the book will feel the same. I love quirky characters and Danny and Barkley, along with Austin McKean, captured my heart.

Personal Information:
Losing three fingers on my left hand was the prelude to my writing career. Winning a contest in high school should have prompted me to follow my dreams, but life got in the way and a wide assortment of careers followed until what I call "the day" happened.

An accident resulted in losing the three inside fingers of my left hand through the knuckles. After assuring my husband I loved him, I hightailed it to Mama's for six weeks where I received lavish comfort and attention.

Needless to say, Hubby was very happy when I returned home, but while I was at Mama's, an interesting thing happened. After a week at Mom's, boredom set in and I picked up one of her many romances novels lying around the house.

After reading several, I confidently announced to my Mother that I could write one of these and made plans to do so.

Well, eight years and eight manuscripts later, I sold my first novel.

It was harder than it looked.

I have now found my destiny in the mighty pen, or keyboard, and look forward to writing many more novels.

In Conclusion:
Life has led me on a merry journey. After an assortment of careers, including teaching karate and modeling, I found the mighty pen was my true friend. Writing is not a choice. The stories bubble up in my head at the most inopportune moments (like during a Sunday morning sermon) and I simply have to put pen to paper. Or rather, fingers to keyboard. I love writing and hope people enjoy my characters and their stories as much as I do.
